Client Situation 1: The customer wants to try and evaluate Synerzip starting with a short project of 3 months. A numbered list of functional requirements with some description of each functional requirement is available. The customer is agreeable to allow Synerzip to address some of the high risk requirements by developing a proof of concept before submitting the proposal. However the customer has to get a fixed budget approved after such a proposal is submitted. The customer understands that no major change of scope or time line or budget would be allowed once the proposal is accepted. Everyone including the product management team on the customer side are busy and don't have time to have an ongoing requirements dialogue with off shore development team. |

Client Situation 2: The customer is a start-up with no documented requirements. The promoters would like to engage in white-board discussions with an on-site project manager to flesh out the requirements. The promoters have no fixed scope or budget but they would like to maintain a team of development and QA resources at Synerzip's off-shore facility to take advantage of off-shore economics and thus to maintain a low burn rate. The customer has especially approached Synerzip to take advantage of Synerzip's agile development capabilities. The main requirement is to be quickly able to demonstrate some functionality. They also want to quickly respond to suggestions made by customers and investors by delivering new requirements or modifying the existing functionality. The product management team has made themselves available to engage with the off-shore development team on any requirements related discussions on an ongoing basis. Use of webX, video conferencing, frequent conference calls and on-site presence of Synerzip's product manager has helped clarifying requirements. |

Client Situation 3: The customer has spent some time in preparing detailed requirements document. They also engaged the services of a market research agency and a UI designer's studio to define the user interface and functionality. Given the investment done by the customer in defining and documenting the requirement. They are averse to the idea of allowing any major change to the requirements. However the customer will allow prioritization and sequencing of requirements in a number of iterations. They would like to review the progress done by the development team every four weeks by having a live demonstration. They have assigned the product champion to answer all requirements related questions. This project is expected to last for above 6 months. |
